Martin Puryear “Guardian Stone” locates at TV Asahi Head Quarters Building, Tokyo. Puryear’s wealth of craft and design expertise and his being deeply versed in Japan’s culture have resulted in this large stone structure, a guardian for the garden where it is stands. Created through collaboration with a Japanese stonemason, the structure’s form is taken to the extreme of simplicity, setting free the observer’s imagination.
